There are things that bug me, but I can't say it because I've already made the agreement not to. That very much goes against what I usually do, which is to reflect, respond, and share. I don't keep my opinions to myself because it burns me to let something that I consider wrong move forward without any significant objection.
So I'll generalize and be vague. It irks me when one person condescends another. It pisses me off when a person has the audacity to believe that he or she can sit back in his or her throne and judge whether someone is "worth" it. What's worse is when someone uses the word "growth" and "progress" as a justification to marginalize another person's potential.
A system of fair representation, open dialogue, and community building has been replaced with the non-profit version of corporate heirarchy, where promotion is based on whether the person "above" you thinks that you're "ready" or "worth it," and where the degree to whether a person can be involved revolves around how much they please the higher-ups, instead of simply wanting to do it.
I'm disgusted.
