So at last there is organized opposition to San Jose Voters for Democracy. It is about time that this happened. However, this is also quite depressing. San Jose, like many Vietnamese communities in the US, have always been divided between the elders and the entrepreneurs. The entrepreneurs have usually let sleeping dogs lie, but apparently, they've had enough.

Our community is really split now. It has come to this. Stubborness, refusal to compromise, media antics, chants and editorials. We are at war. It is not with the City of San Jose, it is not with the communist regime, it is not with Madison.

We are at war with ourselves.
