Chuck Norrisisms

Nothing major today. I do feel unfocused. I realized that I took on more responsibilities last week when I obviously should be focusing on what I have to do now, the LSAT in particular. I volunteered to be the point person on the deportation matter, but with Black April, LSAT diagnostics and classes, all things UVSA and all things uNAVSA, I may be overwhelming myself.

For UVSA, we have:
-elections
-Black April - Smithsonian Exhibit and Youth Issues Panel
-camping trip
-CPP fundraising
-Constitutional ratification
-Mobilizing on the Paracel and Spratley Islands (our next step will be the human rights torch relay and rally)
-Mobilizing on deportation

For uNAVSA, we have:
-all things conference (luckily we have an AMAZING team, and my specific responsibility is for the CPP Selection process)
-Mobilizing on the Paracel and Spratley Islands issue (though I don't know how much mobilizing people are willing to do around this. Our resolution is basically a big finger wagging)
-Mobilizing on the deportation issue
-and because this is an election year, a HUGE officer transition

I'm SUPER HAPPY that UVSA and uNAVSA have such dedicated people involved. Otherwise, I'd be waaaaaay more stressed out.

and I just realized something. People on the ground are MUCH more willing to fight for what they believe in. People in the sky are, no matter what their ideal is, less willing to get in the trenches. Grassroots and treetops. That's always what it comes down to doesn't it?

Anyway, I'd like to feature a new part of my blog, which are Chuck Norrisms. If I can't come up with one, I'll pull one from chucknorrisfacts.com

"When the Boogeyman goes to bed at night, he checks his closet for Chuck Norris."
